Waiting for Ravelympics!!

Super excited about Ravelympics this year! I will be participating in the SKA Team Tufty "Sock Hockey" event, attempting to complete a pair of Nanner Socks (by Wendy Johnson) by February 28th. Instead of using 2 circs, I will be using size 1 dpns. Challenges: converting the pattern from circs to dpns, and completing a pair of toe-up socks. Yarn used: Dream in Color Smooshy in "Happy Forest."
Squee!! Can't wait until 6 p.m. ET tomorrow night!!

We Have A Winner!!

Using the Random Number Generator, GumbyGooGoo was selected as the winner for the skein of Tuscan Grove sock yarn. Let me know your address so I can send you your prize--I messaged you on Ravelry too.
Look for more fun giveaways in the coming months!

Blog Giveaway!!

Hi there!
To honor the re-vamping of my blog, I'm holding a yarn giveaway. For a chance to win, all you need to do is visit my blog, leave a comment, and that's it! I'm giving away a skein of Tuscan Grove Venice sock yarn, in the colorway "Adriatic Sea." One skein will make a pair of most socks. Good luck and thank you for reading! I will pick the winner on 2/11/2010 so I can mail before Valentine's Day.

Finished: Simple Footies

I've finally finished these socks!!! Took me almost 2 years, partly because I'm a polygamous sock knitter, always onto newer things, and also because I wasn't a huge fan of the colorway at the time, although it later grew on me. Pattern is from Stephanie Pearl-Mcphee's book Knitting Rules! Yarn: Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in "Motherlode." I'm pretty excited they are done because I'm trying to finish all of my second socks in pairs that I have started. Keep on reading to hear more about my progress and for some upcoming giveaways!
