It's officially fall! Fall is my favorite season..I love the chill in the air, pumpkins(in lattes and other places), hayrides, and especially, knitting in the fall. Maybe it's because I know winter is around the corner, but who knows?
One of my favorite LYS's near me, Knitting On The Square (KNOTS), in Chardon, Ohio, is run by a knitwear designer, Kate Jackson, who just released a book of knitted accessories, titled Sunday Drive. I got the book Friday, and am in the process of casting on for my first project from the book, the Transcontinental Shawlette, using String Theory Caper Sock, in the Light Teal color. I saw the sample of the shawl knit up in the store, and it caught my eye, prompting me to get the book, which is awesome.
Also on the needles is a pair of socks from The Joy of Sox, by Linda Kopp. I'm knitting Sole Mates, using Frog Tree Yarns "Pediboo" in a colorway best described as light chartreuse (I have no idea what the actual color is called-I got the yarn at a LYS close to me last year--impulse purchase).
I'm off to enjoy some well-deserved knitting time, apple-cinnamon smell in my house, and my son happily playing with some cars. Happy Sunday!!!
